Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

When changing "method" to "manual" in network-manager-gnome and adding a static IP address, network-manager fails to kill dhclient so the IP doesn't change to static without a reboot.

network-manager should kill dhclient when switching to a static address.

what release you use?

10.1

10.10 I mean - I believe it's the same in 9.10 also.

Connections aren't immediately re-established after modifying the settings in the Connection Editor, you instead need to click again on the connection name to re-establish the connection; which works fine here on a wireless and stops dhclient.

Could you please try this again and let me know if this fixes the issue for you?
