Bug Description

Create a WPA encrypted ad-hoc network on a Windows 7 machine and turned on Internet Connection Sharing. I am unable to associate to the network using Lucid.

Furthermore, even without encryption, I cannot connect to the network with nm-applet. However, If I remove Network Manager and use iwconfig and dhclient, then I am able to connect to a *NON* - WPA encrypted ad-hoc network created in Windows 7.

Confirming; reassigning to NetworkManager since it's not an issue in the applet itself.

affects: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) → network-manager (Ubuntu)

Let's track this separately from bug 322902 for now, in case there are some extra settings put in place by Windows 7 for an ICS connection (in other words, once bug 322902 is fixed; then we can see whether this one is fixed too).

Is this problem present in the two latest Ubuntu versions too?
