Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

I am using Lucid. ;-)

I noticed that sometimes the wireless internet connection seems to be lost, pages take ages to load and eventually I get a timeout error. When I reconnect to the network via the network manager, everything starts working again for twoish minutes before it breaks again and I'm forced to reconnect. Didn't happen in any previous versions, so I'd say it's a regression.
I also have another problem with wireless connectivity which I think is related (if not, I'll file another bug) - after resume from hibernation I can't reconnect to my network and I am forced to do a reboot. In the log files you can see that the connection times out every time.
I hope I gave enough information, if not, I will most happily provide it.

I should mention that the audit messages I get about firefox are not causing this problem as I get the problem in Thunderbird too. I also have disabled the Apparmor profile for Firefox, but the problem persist. (of the timeouts, not the audits of course)

I am still having this problem using Beta 2. I was having the same problem with Karmic so maybe it is not a regression after all. This is in a Macbook Pro 5,3.

The problem persists after a clean installation of Lucid 64-bit. It is extremely annoying and disrupting. It seems related to high network loads but it is difficult to say for sure. Things like using Transmission are completely impossible right now.

As this problem is a part of 482668 I am marking it as a duplicate.
