can't establish DSL (pppoe) connection

Network Manager failed to create DSL (pppoe) connection. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 and network-manager 0.8~a~git.20091013t193206.679d548-0ubuntu1

The same for me also with an updated network manager 20091016.
OS Ubuntu 9.10 beta 64-bit updated.
