NetworkManager <WARN> default_adapter_cb(): bluez error getting default adapter: The name org.bluez was not provided by any .service files

do you have the bluez package installed when this happens? Is a bluetoothd process running?

I have the same problem, using a usb bluetooth. at startup it does not recognize the usb dongle, but if I just unplug and plug the dongle, it gets recognized and works fine. If you guide me, I can help further debugging.

If I just unplug and plug again the usb dongle, it just works:

Hi Alexander,

I run a fresh install of kubuntu Lucid 10.04 LTS too and i get the same error as karmic by default

So the warming still on both distro

Just a routine check of my syslog pulled up the same error:

I have bluez installed. bluetoothd isn't running. In fact, that is how I founded this bug, because I cannot make it to run:

Hello,

I am hit by this bug at it seems.
This is quite annoying and open since 2009, anything I can do to help have this solved? I am not all a programmer but I can run some tests and command if necessary

Yes but another bug is opened and followed up there. It appears to be an issue of laoding a firmware for the Broadcom bluetooth chip
