can not remove package

Architecture: powerpc
Version: 0.6.2-0ubuntu4

apt-get remove network-manager fails:
# apt-get remove network-manager
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done

  network-manager network-manager-gnome

Removing network-manager-gnome ...

yes, it works. network-manager can be removed now,
