Bug Description

Step 1: Connect using Mobile Broadband (click on Next G item in NM applet)
resolv.conf then contains:
# Generated by NetworkManager
nameserver <ISPNAMESERVER1>
nameserver <ISPNAMESERVER2>

Step 2: Connect using Ethernet (click on Work item in NM applet)
resolv.conf then contains:
# Generated by NetworkManager
domain <WORKDOMAIN1>
search <WORKDOMAIN2>
nameserver <WORKNAMESERVER1>
nameserver <WORKNAMESERVER2>
nameserver <ISPNAMESERVER1>
# NOTE: the libc resolver may not support more than 3 nameservers.
# The nameservers listed below may not be recognized.
nameserver <ISPNAMESERVER2>

Step 3: Disconnect from Mobile Broadband (click on Disconnect item in NM applet)
resolv.conf then contains:
# Generated by NetworkManager

and nothing else.

Not sure if default routes are handled properly in this case either.

Oh, and there is also an Auto eth2 connection defined. As soon as I plug in the Ethernet cable, it starts trying to connect to that. I click on Work before it finishes since the Auto settings don't work.

I'm not sure. Looks like that directory is provided by squid and avahi-daemon.

This bug report hasn't been updated for quite some time. Can you test this in 10.10 and tell us if this is still an issue? Thank you.
