Otherwise working openvpn connection fails if started by nm

Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Refers to network-manager 0.7.1rc4.1, network-manager-openvpn of Ubuntu NBR 9.04.

If the vpn is started manually it works fine, if it is started via the nm applet is seems to connect, but no internet access is possible. The output of the daemon.log is given in the attached file.

Starting the vpn connection via nm-applet inserts an extra line

nameserver 10.44.0.1

into resolv.conf before the line

nameserver 192.168.0.1

which is always there (no vpn and manually started vpn likewise)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 374874 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
