Network Manager 0.7 does not work in up to date 8.04.2

Bug Description

I am trying to use NM 0.7 ppa, tried both amd64 and i386 Ubuntu installs, nm-applet does not seem to start. No relevant errors seen. Please advise.

this is an issue with my ppa package. lets not track this here. you can also find me on irc (on freenode either #ubuntu-mozillateam or #nm) ... anyway, i plan to bump hardy ppa to 0.7 final soon. stay tuned.

Actually it was my bad with the update-icon-caches. Its working now. Had some other probs, I think a bunch also deal with iwlwifi (used backport-modules but doesn't help).
