Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
I run Ubuntu 8.10 (up-to-date) on my pc.
When I set a static IP configuration in the network manager and restart the system it creates a new connection and automatically connects to it. Even if the modified one (with the static IP) is set to be the default connection.
I searched on forums and found no way than to remove the network manager and set the static IP by editing network files.
Please, fix this bug and give it a high priority.
