Binary package hint: network-manager
It was in Intrepid alpha 6 i386 desktop. After installed it works fine.
There's a similar bug (bug #271398) about suspending, but I haven't been able to reproduce it.

The screenshot was taken after the installation process finished (before reboot).
I didn't try to connect before installing, so I'm not sure if this was caused by something during the installation process.
I tried booting the live cd again, and I don't see this bug before installing. I haven't tried installing again (to confirm something during the install process is causing this), but if you need me to do it just let me know.
