NM 0.7 Sony Ericsson P1i isn't recognized as a 3G modem

If I connect my Sony Ericsson P1i via USB it isn't recognized as a 3G modem.

i am new to ubuntu.i am using sony ericsson mobile k320i as modem in windows xp. is it possible to use same mobile as modem in ubuntu.if possible plz tel me how to do it in detail. my mail id <email address hidden>
