Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
nm-applet won't connect to the wired network connection properly. It connects, I can ping out, but it won't stop spinning. There is some step that it hasn't yet completed because it drops the connection and re-negotiates DHCP.
I can watch this with a ping session. Everything will ping fine for a minute or so, then there will be a 5-6 second period where nm-applet will try to renegotiate DHCP and the connection is dropped.
I have another Ubuntu Gutsy laptop on the same network and it works fine. Which leads me to believe I've screwed something up in the configuration.

Could you please run Wireshark listening on "port 67" and attach capture file here? It's got similar symptoms as my bug #190142.
