Bug Description

I am running Ubuntu MATE 16.04 x64 Alpha 2. In network manager, I added a new mobile broadband connection ("Bob" in "Austria") after successfully unlocking the SIM card of the modem using modem-manager. After the last step in the wizard an error message is being displayed:

Adding/activation of connection failed

(1) Creating object for path '/org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/2' failed in libnm-glib.

The entry "Bob Vorgabe" (should be "Bob default" in English, I guess) shows up in the network list in network manager, but when I click the entry, network manager just shows the "connecting" icon for a fraction of a second and then does nothing. syslog is enhanced with these lines:

In Xubuntu 12.10 and 14.04 I never experienced such issue.

My guess is that line #5 causes the problem, but I have no clue how to tell it to only try IPv4.
