Bug Description
TL;DR: NetworkManager requires "pppoe" package, which was not installed by default in Lubuntu 15.04.
I tried using Network Manager (nm-applet) to configure a PPPoE connection. I can create the connection, but trying to connect to it fails.
The erro message that shows up in a dialog is not helpful at all:
(1) Creating object for path '/org/freedeskt
What is helpful is a message buried in /var/log/syslog:
NetworkManager[
Workaround: apt-get install pppoe.
Desirable solution: pppoe package being a dependency of another package (lubuntu-desktop seems like a good one).
Using Lubuntu 15.04 (upgraded from previous versions). This is the first time configuring a DSL/PPPoE connection in this system.
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
