note: only eth1 is used to get stream; so it looks like a race as networkmanager seems working as expected; but what a confusing process: do really need a better design, because that one is a real mess.

As far as I can tell it does not affect wifi. Importance should remain low if bug is not disregarded.

This has been fixed by the latest systemd upgrade:

systemd (219-4ubuntu8) vivid; urgency=medium

  * force ifup@ to run after systemd-tmpfiles-setup as ifupdown
    operations require /run/network which is being created by tmpfiles
    (LP: #1434020).
