Bug Description
If possible, it would be nice to send oFono support patches upstream to reduce the diff between Ubuntu and upstream/Debian, and let other use the support.

We're working on cleaning up these patches and will work on sending them upstream. That said, the code in question has only been exercised against ofono using the rilmodem driver. It's not clear how well this code works with native ofono modem drivers.
