unable to connect to ad-hoc network

Bug Description

I created hotspot on another windows7 machine, ubuntu sees it, but can't connect. I tried hotspot mode, ad-hoc without password, both not working. In windows7 everything nice.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.

I'm going to close this bug report as their is nothing else we can do with this old report in a now unsupported version of Ubuntu. If you still have this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 or higher, please do reopen or report a new bug.
