problem in internet connection reliance netconnect

I am using huawei EC1260 intenet dongle on ubuntu 11.10.
And unfortunately i am not able to connect to internet..
While connecting to the net the modem automaticall connects and disconnects itself.

The Huawei EC1260 is not listed upstream as a supported model

Nevertheless, I found a bug report in the upstream bugzilla related to this model.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates.

I'm going to close this bug report as their is nothing else we can do with this old report in a now unsupported version of Ubuntu.
