Bug Description
I've experienced this three times on a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.10 x64.
If you create a new wired network connection, the original wired connection is deleted after a reboot.
Steps to recreate Bug...
Note that "Wired connection 1" is the default connection.
From the Network Manager applet, select Edit Connections.
Select the "Wired" tab.
Click "Add".
Enter Connection name: "Wired connection 2"
Select the Device MAC address from the drop down list.
Select the "IPv4 Settings" tab.
Select "Automatic (DHCP) addresses only" from the Method dropdown.
Enter DNS Servers (ex. 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4)
Click Save.
The new connection ("Wired connection 2") and the existing connection ("Wired connection 1") are visible in the Network Manager applet.
Test both connections ("Wired connection 1" and "Wired connection 2") and confirm you are able to connect.
Select "Wired connection 1" and let it connect.
Shut down the computer.
Turn on the computer.
Note that "Wired connection 2" is the only connection available. "Wired connection 1" has dissapeared fro mthe Network Manager applet. Also note that "Wired connection 1" does not appear in /etc/NetworkMan
This is still an issue in 13.04.
Would someone please test this using the steps above and confirm?
