Bug Description

1) Using Ubuntu 11.10
2) network-manager-vpnc-gnome 0.9.0-0ubuntu1
network-manager-vpnc 0.9.0-0ubuntu1
vpnc 0.5.3r449-2.1
3) I imported my .pcf profile file using the "import" button on the "Network Connections" window.
The file imported successfully. The "VPN" tab was shown first, then the IPV4 settings tab. The group password was shown. I made no changes to any of the settings, then selected "Save".
I then selected the newly created row, and selected Edit.
This time the IPV4 settings tab was shown first by default, and when I selected the VPN tab, the group password had dissappeared.
I also tried importing again, and using straight away, and I was prompted for the group password.
4) I expected the group password to be saved.

Workaround for this bug appears to be:
- just after the Import has finished, select "show password" check box and copy the password.
- Click save as before,
- edit the configuration just created and select vpn tab
- paste the password into the empty group password field.

network-manager-vpnc has had a facilty to import group passwords properly for a while now. Assuming you've since upgraded to another release, can you still reproduce the issue?

Thanks!

I did upgrade to 12.04, but the problem unfortunately became worse (see bug 1013650 for notes on my experience).

I see the same bug in Ubuntu 13.10 x64.
When I want to connect to Cisco VPN from my work, the group password is saved, but when I want to connect to VPN from my home, I need to type this group password every time alongside with my token.
