VPN service fails to start due to an outdated configuration file

Upon starting a VPN(C) connection I get the following notification bubble:

"VPN Connection Failed
The VPN connection '...' failed because the VPN service failed to start. Failed to execute child process "/usr/lib/network-manager-vpnc/nm-vpnc-service" (No such file or directory)"

It's right, this service file does not exist and there's a configuration file apport complained about being out of sync ('/etc/NetworkManager/VPN/nm-vpnc-service.name').

This seems to be an upgrade issue since VPN(C) connections worked fine in Natty and still do in Oneiric with the right configuration file and I'm 100% positive I didn't change this file myself.

Indeed, the path has changed in NetworkManager, it should now be /usr/lib/NetworkManager.

I'll test an upgrade process now to try and catch the exact issue; but I think the upgrade process should have warned you about this and offered the choice of replacing with the new version, keeping the old, etc. (not that this doesn't need fixing anyway)

In that case I should have seen a .dpkg-new (or similar) file, no? Nothing like that showed up there.
