Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

When trying to use the pptp plugin for the network manager, the hostname is being sent instead of the username provided.

The following is the error log reported by the Window2003 server that the connection attempt was made against. It shows the username being reported as "Ubuntu2". This is the hostname of the machine that is attempting to make the connection.

I encountered the exact same problem today. Manually changing the hostname to match the vpn username does not resolve the connection issue for me. I get an error about AES being used instead of MSChapV2. I don't even see an AES option on nm-applet.
