Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-openvpn

While configuring VPN user is asked for a CA certificate. After the configuration is over. removing the certificate file breaks that VPN configuration. I major in computer science and even for me it took quite some time to figure out what went wrong. The error messages aren't really helpful either.

Hi Toni, thanks for taking the time to report this issue. NM does not store certificates. Your configuration just point to files over your disk. So yes it's logicial that removing this file break your VPN connexion. Does not look a but to me. Therefore, the error message could be better. I have retitled the bug report accordingly.

summary: - Network manager fails to store CA certificates

Why do you think the certificates should not be stored?
