same problem here, default gateway does not get redirected.

Beside, I think there should be some user feedback if the tunnel is not used as default gw. By now the network-manager-icon indicates that the tunnel is active, but if the default gateway is not set the right way it is (nearly) never used.

I would like to know if my default route is going through the tunnel or not, its not nice to see a lock as the VPN indicator not knowing what the real status is.
