Bug Description

After recent updates, clicking in the nm-applet causes a subtle flash before opening the network option. The effect is subtle (too subtle to be captured on video, apparently) and it not happens every time, but it is there.

The issue is consistent and very obvious on my Dell Mini 9 running the final release of Ubuntu 11.10.
