Bug Description

not sure yet if this an NM problem. Since the upgrade from lucid to 10.10 i have to enter the simcode after booting and logging into gnome. The pin is saved in the vodafone connection.

My Ubuntu Netbook 10.10 installation is also affected by this bug, "Enter PIN" window appears on every boot. PIN's saved in Network Manager. I'm using Acer Aspire One D250.

Same here on a Lenovo X301 with a built in GSM card. The pin is saved in the network connection and if I cancel the pin request after login I can still connect. So even though everything seems to be in order, after every login the window asking me to enter my pin pops up.

The remote bug that is marked to be a duplicate of gnome-bugs #631904 is apparently not identical to this one.

I'm having the same issues on my x61s with 11.10 (and 10.04, 10.10 before that).

The current HEAD of NetworkManager/nm-applet solves the issue for me: There's a checkbox in the SIM dialog for storing the PIN in general, not just for a specific connection.

This bug is still there for me in 13.10 on a new X220t Laptop. Every couple of logins I have to re-enter the pin.
