Bug Description

When I launch nm-con-mgr, all buttons, tabs are not responsive, no connections entries for Wired are listed. stderr shows this:
** Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
** Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
** Message: secret service operation failed: Activation of org.freedesktop.secrets timed out
** Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

After a while, buttons are responsive and connection entries are available. However, when I edit or delete an entry, same lock-up happens and I get this on stderr:

* Message: secret service operation failed: Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

** (nm-connection-editor:4897): WARNING **: Invalid connection (empty)

** (nm-connection-editor:4897): WARNING **: <WARN> nma_gconf_connection_new(): No connection read from GConf at /system/networking/connections/1.

Rest of my system is working. THe only unusual thing about this out-of-the box laptop install is that I use nss_ldap and pam_krb5 for auth & lookup.

I solved this problem with tips showed here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1497083&highlight=panel+ages

I disabled the 3 services "gnome-keyring-daemon" preseted in Sistema (System) > Preferências (Preferences) > Aplicativos de Sessão (I don't know the name of this item in English). Then I created only one service "gnome-keyring-daemon" without any options. This solved my problem. According the link, it can be a problem with the gnome-keyring and the absence of the ubuntuone package (i uninstalled Ubuntu One because I did not need it).

I can confirm that disabling the three (3) specialized gnome-keyring-daemon instances, and replacing them with a single generic instance resolves the load delay.

the only problem with this workaround, is that we have put password again to
release keyring... is there any command-line option to gnome-keyring-daemon
that release us from type password again after login?

Indeed, making one gnome keyring daemon helps. I wonder if this should be also-reported in ubuntu-desktop & gnome-keyring.

What can we do to advance this?
