NetworkManager Applet menu incorrectly positioned in bottom panel

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu.
Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release: 10.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename' or by checking in Synaptic.
NetworkManager Applet 0.8-0ubuntu2

3) What you expected to happen
I expect the menu to appear flush with the bottom Gnome panel as other menus do.

4) What happened instead
The menu is spaced off of the panel. I'm using a dual screen setup with only panels at the bottom.
