Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Ubuntu Release: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch) - Beta 1
Package version: 0.7~~svn20081004t225044-0ubuntu1

Expected Behaviour:
- In manual network configurations, entering DNS servers on the "IPv4 Settings" tab of NetworkManager in the format suggested by the tooltip (that is "[server1 ip], [server2 ip]", e.g. "192.168.0.1, 192.168.0.2") should be considered valid and should result in the OK button to be enabled and the configuration to be saved.

Actual Behaviour:

- The OK button remains disabled until any whitespace between the provided DNS servers is removed.

Note: Removing the whitespace, closing and reopening the settings window after successfully saving the configuration reintroduces a space between the provided DNS server list.

Hello,

This is not an enhancement, but a very minor usability/UI bug. Since Intrepid is using an SVN version of the NM project I do not believe that an upstream bug filing is appropriate at this time. Instead, I would suggest that the Ubuntu devs keep note of the bug so that others can either patch it here (and send the patch upstream) or update the report when it's fixed.

Since I haven't used any other distribution with NM as of late I cannot know whether this is a regression stemming from the particular version used in Intrepid Beta 1, or if it's a legitimate bug with NM that should be corrected upstream. If you feel that this is the case, feel free to do so.
