Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome

I am using latest Hardy as of June 19th.
network-manager 0.6.6-0ubuntu5
network-manager-gnome 0.6.6-0ubuntu3

When I come back from resume or I power on, network-manager prompts me for my password to unlock my keyring. I give it my password, and it continues to prompt me to unlock my keyring until I click deny - at which point, it successfully connects to the network with the password in my keyring.

I had this problem after a clean install of Jaunty while keeping my /home partition intact and choosing a new root password. The network applet didn't seem to be responding to typing in the password, but it was in fact asking for my former password. This problem was solved by deleting all files in /home/.gnome2/keyrings and now the applet accepts the current password, however I am still prompted for a password with every login and am unable to permanently allow it.

I can confirm that I have that problem for Jaunty and saw it for intrepid as well.
