Bug Description

Hello all,

I noticed this morning that the network options (i am not sure if it suppose to be nm-applet) is no longer showing in system tray and for a while now that KDE Connect indicator is not showing in the system tray.

I am currently Ubuntu Mate 20.04 on a raspberry PI400 uname -a
Linux pi400 5.4.0-1036-raspi #39-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT Wed May 12 17:37:51 UTC 2021 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

Hello all,

I've upgraded to the latest 20.04.04 LTS, and network-manager is 1.22.10-1ubuntu2.3
nm-applet is still not showing in the system tray.

After a little of tinkering, I believe the issue is with the system tray.
I have tried loading flameshot that sits in the system tray, is also not showing.

I've attach a screen shoot.

I have tried uninstall indicator-notifications and ayatana-indicator-notifications and reinstalling them and no luck.

I have switched to awesomewm and openbox with polybar and tint2 and the system tray work fine in those, except in mate enviroment.

Changed in ubuntu-mate:
status: New → Incomplete
no longer affects: ubuntu-mate
