release 2.4 of network-manager-gnome causes greyed out "Edit Connections..." in nm-applet

Linux Mint 13 (Maya), MATE 64 bit edition.

On Feb 5, 2015, I ran update manager and it installed network-
Afterwards, when I went to edit my network connections using the panel application launcher nm-applet,
the "Edit Connetions..." text was greyed out. I was expecting it to be black and selectable.
After some investigation, I downgraded network-
Again, I was able to consistently upgraded to 2.4 to replicate the problem and downgrade to 2 to correct it.
This can possibly qualify as a desktop related issue, so I will open a bug in gethub.com also.

To replicate problem manager- gnome_0. 9.4.1-0ubuntu2. 4_amd64. deb using
1 - install network-
symantic package manager
2 - Logout Desktop
3 - Right click nm-applet results in greyed out "Edit Connections..."
4 - Left click nm-applet results in greyed out "Disconnect" with
active and auto connected wireless network.
To remove problem manager- gnome_0. 9.4.1-0ubuntu2_ amd64.deb using
1 - install network-
symantic package manager + Force downgrade
2 - Logout Desktop
3 - Right click nm-applet results in black, selectable "Edit Connections..."
4 - Left click nm-applet results in black, selectable "Disconnect" with
active and auto connected wireless network.
