Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:
- click on the nm-applet indicator to unfold the dropdown menu
- choose a wifi network to connect to
- select it and wait until it connects

Expected behavior
- should show a "connecting" animation while it is establishing the connection
- animation should stop and be replaced by the "connected" icon as soon as the connection is established.

Observed behavior (since 13.04)
- shows a "connecting" animation while it is establishing the connection
- then the animation stops and it shows again the "disconnected" icon, for a short but very noticeable fraction of a second*
- only then the icon is replaced by the "connected" icon.

*This is very annoying because it's enough time to actually think "oh shit, connection has failed, let's try again", and if you are fast enough and forget to wait an additional fraction of a second, you may actually have time to click again on the network and reconnect unnecessarily (it has happened to me a couple of times).

Can anybody tell me why on earth, when I search for the package "nm-applet", a result appears called "nm-applet" which I can actually click and select, but then the report is rejected with an error that says the package "nm-applet" does not exist????

I have already reported dozens of bugs against nm-applet in the past, and if the package does not exist any more then why the hell does it show up in the search result?
