Bug Description

Binary package hint: netbook-launcher-efl

Dell Inspiron Mini 10v running Lucid Netbook Remix. (Updated today).
I quite like the Netbook 2d option which gives a Netbook style desktop on desk1 along with the gnome panels and multiple desktops.

When I use Evolution, this environment exhibits strange behaviour. I can go into Evolution and read mail including downloading new mail, and exit with no problem. If I write and send a new e-mail, or if I edit the address book, when I exit Evolution, the Netbook desktop has gone, and I am left with the Gnome desktop and panels only. So far I've only seen the behaviour when exiting Evolution, and not with other apps.

Actually, it's a fairly minor inconvenience, but I'd like to flag it up somewhere as it also affects a friend.

i would like to add a similar issue on the same hardware. i use chrome for my browser and geany for writing small programs. lately i would boot, it autologs-in, and i have netbook-launcher-efl running. i really like that better, btw. so i connect to a network, open chrome, and do my thing. well, when i hit the home applet. it give me the regular netbook-launcher. not what i want. i wanted to remove netbook-launcher through synaptic, but that also removes the go home applet, so i cant do that. please help in making the efl version default.

What makes the network-launcher-efl disappear for me is adding and removing widgets on the gnome taskbar.

And it doesn't disappear completely: it reappears briefly when logging out.

This an old, really annoying and non-active problem!! I don't think
anyone is working on it. I have this shell script (attached) that I can
run by pressing the hotkey [WindowsKey]+home.
