This bug may be related to #937245 or #811441.
When trying to start netbeans 7.1 (not included in a ubuntu package, installed from the official installer found at http://netbeans.org/downloads/index.html) from the command line, an error message is displayed :
** WARNING **: Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-dzW8RHCS9Q: Connection refused
and the application hangs.
When trying repeatedly to start the application, other errors appear, in a non reproducible way (e.g. : restarting the computer yields different outcomes)
Here is the one I got right now :
gvarouch@HomeSweetHome:~$ netbeans-7.1/bin/netbeans
** WARNING **: Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-dzW8RHCS9Q: Connection refused
Xlib: sequence lost (0x1007c > 0xd8) in reply type 0x1c!

^Cgvarouch@HomeSweetHome:~$ netbeans-7.1/bin/netbeans
** WARNING **: Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-dzW8RHCS9Q: Connection refused
The third launch triggered an error in a gnome program linked to the "gnome-settings-daemon" package.
I have the "openjdk-6-jre" package installed version 6b24-1.11.1-0ubuntu1, and the "openjdk-7-jre" package, version 7~b147-2.0-1ubuntu2.
I think netbeans uses the java 6 jre.
On the other hand, ApatanaStudio3 (another java IDE, based on Eclipse : http://www.aptana.org/products/studio3) runs fine. |

then exit.

[UPDATE]
I tried restarting with previous kernel versions.
The bug is present when using kernel 3.2.0.17 or 3.2.0.15.
The bug does not appear using kernel 3.1.1. |
