Bug Description

Binary package hint: netbeans

OS: Ubuntu 10.04 lucid (development branch)
Package: netbeans 6.8-0ubuntu3

I tried to install the Maven plugin within Netbeans' plugin manager. But instead of a successful install, I get the (german) message (see attached screenshot). The installation process is not continuable.

I tried the following:
1. Start NetBeans via Gnome icon.
2. Click on menu entry "Extras" ("Tools"), then on "Plugins".
3. Click on "Verfügbare Plugins" ("available plugins").
4. Check checkbox for "Maven".
5. Click "install".

Now the attached error message appears.

Thank you for reporting!
It looks like something is wrong with Ubuntu specific update center. We are investigating the problem.
Workaround exists:
1. Click on "Settings" tab in "Plugins"
2. Activate "NetBeans" (if not activated) and deactivate "Ubuntu Specific" (or "NetBeans for Ubuntu" in case of 6.8-0ubuntu4)
3. Go back to "Available Plugins" and install Maven

The workaround works fine with 6.8-0ubuntu4 by deactivating "NetBeans for Ubuntu", if "Ubuntu Specific" is deactivated, too.
Thanks for your help :-)

Under "Available Plugins" you may need to "Reload Catalog" after changing the Settings
