Bug Description
After dist-upgrading from dapper to edgy, the ndiswrapper module fails to load. Upon modprobe ndiswrapper, the following happens:

I also have the same problem. My broadcomm 43xx wireless adapter worked in dapper with ndiswrapper, but modprobe ndiswrapper returns an "invalid argument" just like this one.
After doing some research, I found the below link, and I'm hoping that the final release will include some means of addressing this situation:
