ndiswrapper-dkms 1.57-1ubuntu1: ndiswrapper kernel module failed to build

After update from 12.04 to 12.10
Wireless networking not working. Re installed windows driver for Add on ADD-GWK150 Card.
Error Message "Module could not be loaded. Error was: FATAL: Module ndiswrapper not found".
Synaptic shows ndiswrapper is installed, tried re install all parts and failed installing dkms.
Error Mesage "Sorry a problem occurred while installing software.
Package: ndiswrapper-dkms"

Have had problems and had to re install ndiswrapper after upgrade before but it will not re install this time.
Internal network card on this ACER 3690 laptop stopped working several updates back and have used PCMCIA card wifi since.
