Bug Description

I need to be able to open nautilus in superuser mode if I am to avoid using the
command line to move files about. Essentially this would be the same as the "File
Manager" (root mode Konqueror) that you can select from the applications menu in
SuSE 9.1 etc.

you can run "sudo nautilus --no-desktop" to get a root nautilus window.
Are you looking for something else ?

I think he wants an option in the menu which runs gksudo nautilus, but I'm not
convinced that is the right idea.

Yeah, running Nautilus as root is a really terrible idea. I tend to think that
system file-management related use cases are pretty rare, and best dealt with
via GUI configuration tools (not file management at all) or the command line.
Ideally, 'file management' should not be required beyond the files owned by the
user. Inclined to close this WONTFIX.
