Dell 19-in-1 card reader stops working

Bug Description

After restarting, my card reader works fine, but after I safely remove the SD card, it is not recognized when I put it back into the reader.

Wow - apport-collect is pretty cool.

Also, I noticed that this only happens when I select "Safely remove" from the Unity menu. If I select "Eject", then the card reader continues to function correctly.
