Bug Description

When I move a file on the trash (either with the applet, the desktop icon, the
contextual menu, or drag and drop in the window), the file is moved in ~/.Trash,
but the trash:// location remains empty.

The trashapplet updates, changes it's icon and displays the right number of item
in ~/.Trash, the trash icon on the desktop is still the empty one.

I tried to remove .gconf/apps/nautilus and restarting it, even removing and
reinstalling the package, but the problem persists.

Since this bug seems to be triggered by the 09_pmount.patch of gnome-vfs2, I
assign it to me. I will upload a new version of gnome-vfs2 soon which should fix
this.

fixed in:
 gnome-vfs2 (2.8.1-0ubuntu2) warty; urgency=low
 .
   * added patch 12_user_visible_drives:
     - show hotplugged device icons on Desktop which are of type "hard disk" and
       are mounted below /media (which includes USB sticks and the like); before
       only CD-ROMs appeared on the Desktop (Warty bug #8355)
   * 09_pmount.patch:
     - removed patch to _gnome_vfs_get_unix_mount_table() in
       libgnomevfs/gnome-vfs-unix-mounts.c, it does not work with the new
       upstream version 2.8.1: volumes are displayed as not mounted in the
       "Computer" place, and the Trash icon breaked (Warty bug#8391); now USB
       devices will not appear in the "Computer" place at all any more, but since
       they now appear on the Desktop, the user can still access them.
