Desktop icons doubleclick not working first time

After Nautilus started up, either after a computer startup or after running "killall nautilus", the first time one doubleclicks on a desktop icon for a local harddrive nothing happens. This normally happens with harddrives mounted with fstab and that shows icons on the desktop. The second time one doubleclicks on the icon nautilus opens showing the drives content.
