desktop icons disappear on accessing the trash folder

Bug Description

When I put something in the trash folder and want to access that trash folder later on to see what I put in it, the folder immediately closes
and I get to see my desktop pic instead. However, there are no icons on that desktop. I can not change anything on it. I can only go to my desktop icons when I access the folder instead.

Logging off and back on gets me back the normal desktop. When I try to access the trash folder now while something is still in it, I can't - the above thing (disappearing icons, only desktop pic remains) happens again. If the trash is empty, I can access the trash folder.

I did enable apport, but I don't know why there's nothing in the var/crash/ folder. If there's anything I can do otherwise, please point me.

Actually, could you also post the output of "apt-cache policy libglib2.0-0"? We seem to be getting a number of similar bug reports from Jaunty users that have downloaded a third part version of glib2.0 from somewhere, making Nautilus crash
