Binary package hint: nautilus
stepts to reproduce bug:
1) make file to desktop: $ touch ~/Desktop/foobar
2) Try to move foobar file to homefolder at desktop
3) it tries to open file foobar instead moving it to home-directory |

How did you get that "homefolder" icon? Did you use /apps/nautilus/desktop/home_icon_visible from gconf-editor or did you dnd it from the panel menu? |
