Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

Desktop does not display items saved to the desktop until reboot. Navigation buttons are missing from title bar after min/max. Double clicking the title bar to roll up/down gets the buttons to reappear. (9.10 Karmic-amd64). Screenshots do not display on desktop after being saved; after reboot the items reappear.

* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

The bug is reproduce-able, but not on demand. It is after running OS and
opening and closing Totem, Transmission, update...etc, but it happens on a
regular basis...three to four times a week. Sometimes I go to HOME and click
desktop and items appear...last time did not.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version.Thanks in advance.

there has been no such issue reported in years, assuming it doesn't exist in the current version of the code and closing
