Bug Description

I have added lots of bookmarks in Nautilus but I find that when I add a new one it appears at the end of the list. I would like to be able to sort them alphabetically. Where there are dot .files the dot should be ignored for the purposes of sorting by first letter of the folder name.

Thanks for your bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better. This is an upstream wishlist bug and should be reported to the developers of the software using the instructions at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue , in the default Ubuntu 9.10 install , that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. So this bug can't be addressed as part of the project.

feature request is not a papercut.

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.

This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody experiencing it could send the bug the to the people writing the software. You can learn more about how to do this for various upstreams at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream.
