Desktop lauchers which are links should allow an 'open with' choice

Bug Description

I create launchers of type 'link' on my Desktop to files which I use frequently. If I right click on these there is no option to choose the application with which I want to open the file. It would be excellent if the right-click context menu had the same 'Open With' options as the file linked to.
