Disabling "Show Desktop" causes infinite spawning

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

When "Show Desktop" is disabled in gconf (/apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop) it causes an seemingly infinite number of "Loading File Manager..." processes to spawn in the task bar. I've managed to duplicate this on 2 separate fresh installs of 9.04 Alpha 4. It did at least stop showing desktop icons like I wanted it too, though the wait cursor is annoying too.
