Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

The Computer:// window and the Panel->Places menu both show bogus partition names chosen by the installation process, e.g., "/a", "IBM_PRELOAD" and "1.1 GB Data". There seems to be no way to change these into something more sensible, or remove them. The "File->Remove" and "File->Rename" menu items in the Computer:// window are inactive, I can't find the place where these are stored in the tree, and manual changes to /media/ and /etc/fstab are not respected by nautilus, as I would have expected. Installation is Ubuntu 8.10.
